BIO: Dr. Sudha Kumari is currently a postdoctoral associate at the Koch Institute of Integrative Cancer Research. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Kumari completed a PhD in Cell Biology at the National Center for Biological Sciences, India, investigating the distribution and trafficking of membrane proteins in eukaryotic cells. In her postdoctoral training, Dr. Kumari has been co-advised by Darrell Irvine (MIT) and Michael Dustin (NYU/Oxford University), until recently, while she studied the biological properties of immune cells that enable them communicate better via unique physical contacts. Now as a full time postdoctoral associate in Irvine laboratory, she utilizes biomaterials tools, while continuing to probe immune cell trafficking and function during an immune response.
