Fighting the cold and ice this time of year can feel like an exercise in futility — so let’s embrace winter instead! Join the PDA as we take to the rink for an Ice Skating Social. We’ll be skating on Sunday, February 22nd, from 3:00–5:15 pm at MIT’s own Johnson Ice Rink.
This is a great chance to get moving, enjoy some time on the ice, and hang out with postdocs from across MIT. Whether you’re a confident skater or just here for the vibes, everyone is welcome. Here are a few things to know:
- The PDA will cover the cost of skating and skate rental. If you have your own skates, feel free to bring them!
- We have limited skater slots. People will be selected randomly after sign-ups end on February 18th. If selected, you will be sent and asked to complete a confirmation form by the end of the day on February 20th. Those who do not complete the confirmation by then will release their spot to the waiting list. Those on the waitlist will be notified of spots that become available on the evening of the 21st, with sign-ups following a first-come-first-served basis (just to ensure we get all positions filled) in a timely way.
