• The competition is open to all Massachusetts Institute of Technology postdoctoral associates and fellows;
• The winner will receive a $100 gift card;
• Up to two entries are accepted per person;
• All entries must be submitted via the online submission form by 11:59pm Eastern time, April 30, 2013;
• All fields on the submission form must be completed in order for entries to be accepted;
• By submitting the form you certify the following statement “I certify that I am the author of the material I am submitting to the MIT Postdoctoral Association (MIT PDA). MIT PDA and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. All ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights, in and to the design are thus transferred to the MIT PDA. I agree to indemnify MIT PDA for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material submitted”.
• Entries shall include a brief explanation of how the design relates to MIT PDA;
• The logo must include MIT’s logo (available at http://web.mit.edu/graphicidentity/logo/);
• The logo should be original and not resemble other logos. It should stand out among others and be easily identifiable with the MIT PDA. It should be elegant, clear and easily identifiable with MIT PDA. The logo’s concept should be simple and clear and be able to stand alone without text. It should not rely on more than three (3) colors, and retain its impact when in black and white;
• Due to the requirements for high quality printing and re-sizing, entries must be submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS and SVG), in addition to JPEG;
• One winner will be selected by the PDA officers;
• MIT PDA reserves the right of not selecting any of the entries submitted, if the quality of the work is considered insufficient;
• The winner will be announced as soon as possible, on MIT PDA website (pda.mit.edu) and on MIT PDA Twitter account (#mitpda). The winner will also be notified by email;
• These rules are subject to change without notice.
