Invited Postdoc Research Colloquium (IPRC)

Brandeis University Postdoctoral Association (BUPA) is proud to announce the 2020-2021 Invited Postdoc Research Colloquium (IPRC). This seminar series will run throughout the academic year and will feature talks from outstanding senior postdocs from both inside and outside Brandeis. The goal of the IPRC is to showcase the work of talented senior postdocs and provide networking opportunities within the greater postdoc community and Brandeis faculty. Being selected as an IPRC speaker is an exciting opportunity to share and receive feedback on your postdoctoral work from Brandeis faculty, postdocs and students. The Brandeis community benefits from hearing about exciting new research. We encourage applications from a broad range of fields in the life sciences. Please consider applying and spread the word!

Selected postdocs will give a one hour research seminar, meet with faculty individually, and with small groups of students and postdocs to discuss their work. In the event that the COVID-19 public health emergency precludes being able to safely carry out these activities in person, arrangements will be made to carry out all presentations and discussions remotely. For up to date information on Brandeis policies regarding COVID-19 please refer to https://www.brandeis.edu/human-resources/covid-19/index.html or email bupa@brandeis.edu with any questions. If the talk is given in person or remotely, speakers will also receive a small honorarium.

To apply, please email the following to bupa@brandeis.edu:

  • Talk abstract: 500 word limit and aimed at a broad scientific audience
  • Your current CV: 2 page limit, and include your publications, presentations at conferences, and any community service (especially mentoring junior scientists and promoting diverse backgrounds and perspectives in science)
