CITE/edX POSTDOCTORAL TEACHING FELLOW, Office of Digital Learning-DUSP, ESD, D-Lab, to support faculty by teaching and developing content–in collaboration with other researchers and faculty members–for a new edX course on the evaluation of products designed for the developing world. This course is affiliated with the Comprehensive Initiative on Technology Evaluation (CITE), one of two USAID-funded cooperative agreements and part of the Higher Education Solutions Network. Will develop and deliver a fully-formed edX course to be offered in fall 2013 with another session planned for fall 2014 and sustain its instruction. Will also collect feedback and make curriculum improvements once the course is complete. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of edX course development, from course structuring to individual lecture planning to student assessment; collaborating with faculty and research staff and leading a group of edX fellows (graduate students) in developing engaging, innovative content for the course; developing online assessment methods that evaluate student learning in the class; participating as an active member in research that promotes the goals of the course; and managing the instruction of the course during fall 2013. Will work under the guidance of Course 11 faculty.

REQUIREMENTS: a Ph.D. in engineering, international development, or a related field; teaching experience, preferably using online instructional methods; experience in international development and product design/development/assessment methods; and superior time management skills and experience in a project setting with firm deadlines.
