In collaboration with the MIT Public Service Center, we will be participating in the MIT Giving Tree Gift Drive again this holiday season. Last year the MIT postdocs were the #1 group in gift purchases by a large margin. Let’s beat our own record this year!  We have 1,400 postdocs at MIT, surely we can purchase 150 gifts this season!
.
The Giving Tree Gift Drive is an initiative to purchase small gifts for many poor and homeless children in the Boston/Cambridge area. The gifts are small and mostly under $20. Your generosity will put a smile on the face of a local child in need.

There are now two active lists, please purchase gifts here:

1. Gifts for Homeless Teenagers This provides items for homeless teenagers, such as essentials that they need (backpacks, soap, deodorant, water bottles).

2. Toys for Children This list provides toys for children in the various organizations MIT PSC serves. These are additional items (not specific to child gift requests), so they are not as high of a priority.

Thank you to everyone that has been so generous with the gifts, it is wonderful to see the MIT postdoc community coming together for this good cause!

Happy Holidays,
